Dwight and I have been buddies for a long time and have always had a geeky preoccupation with comics and the like. Three years ago, we started listening to podcasts on various subjects, including of course, the aforementioned. Talking and blathering on wasn't foreign to us, so we really enjoyed the medium.
We decided at some point to start our own podcast because there wasn’t a comics-oriented show out there that directly addressed one of our main interests—art. We both have backgrounds in art and a healthy zeal for it, so that kinda became the focus for SiDEBAR.
Now don’t get me wrong, we’ll talk about anything and to anyone on the show (and we have). But it became apparent to us as things evolved, that our goal should be to present entertaining, informative and art-literate discussion on pop culture to those who care to listen.
Hopefully, we’ve come close to meeting that goal.
